Based on 138 reviewsThe Boathouse is widely praised for its welcoming atmosphere and scenic location by the lake, offering ample seating both indoors and outdoors. Customers appreciate the café’s modern interior, friendly and attentive staff, and the relaxed environment, which is ideal for breakfast, coffee, and cake. The menu features a solid selection of homemade cakes and pastries alongside breakfast and lunch options, although some visitors find the lunch menu somewhat limited. Pricing is generally considered reasonable, and the presence of a loyalty card is noted positively. While service is mostly commended for its warmth and efficiency, occasional booking miscommunications have been mentioned. Overall, The Boathouse is favored as a charming spot with quality food and drinks, making it a popular local choice for casual dining and enjoying waterfront views.
Good cafe with a selection of breakfast options and lunch menu, with a range of homemade cakes and pastries. Prices are reasonable, the place has quite a few seats and there's plenty of outdoor benches to enjoy the view over the lake.
Not a very varied menu for lunch. Better for coffee and cake or breakfast. Nice staff. Prices not bad. Booked a table which wasn't saved even though I got a response to say it was booked which wasn't great
Only our second visit but really liking this place now. Friendly staff and a nicely decorated shop. The tuna sandwich had the softest white bread and the chai latte was spot on. Recommended!
Wow. What an amazing place. My first visit. So happy my grandaughter brought me here today Friday 13 th June. Sat inside for breakfast so delicious thanks. Then sat outside Beautiful place. Lovely staff. Lovely service
Lovely place which has been modernised inside with a large selection of tables and chairs, some overlooking the waterfront and skiing in action! Lovely cakes and selection of food, drinks etc all served with a smile. Dogs welcome in the hard floor but not the carpeted areas (understandable). Loyalty card system in place also.
Great location and beautifully stylish inside. Food and service were both brilliant. If you are lucky there is also the added bonus of watching water skiing as you sip your coffee
Have been here a few times now. The staff are always friendly and efficient. The food is very tasty and of good quality. Reasonably priced. It's great to sit outside and watch the water skiing on the adjacent lake. Will definitely go back soon. Would recommend a visit. Plenty of parking onsite.
Lovely intimate coffee shop. Food is fantastic and the drinks are great. The staff are always friendly and hardworking. A disabled family member needed a seat due to their disability and once seated the staff double checked with us that they were comfortable. Can get busy around lunchtime but there is outside seating available for the warmer months. Love it.
